Why do I find my eye’s welling up with tears?
I’m watching some guy I’d never heard of, in an event I’ve never heard of K1 500. It’s National Pride; he’s got a maple leaf on his chest…

Despite having free wireless internet, free board and free Cable TV (normal staples of my lifestyle) I just didn’t feel right as a gay innkeeper and bailed on that scene, so 9:30 pm I started the 8h drive up to Onterrible for a few weeks training and racing in my Home and Native Land. (more…)

Final RAAM entry and Photo’s

OK here’s a RAAM Summary, and I’m not going to talk about it any more:

Day 1.

We have no clue what we’re doing, and just ride hard as possible. One of my 20 minute pulls my HR averaged 193. Another time the van’s crew change dogs, and I’m out for 47min (when I set off thinking I had 15). Later in the night I get another mega pull, and I’m out for a few rotations from dehydration. (more…)
