Kicking, and still alive
School – done
Work – check, done
Yeah I had a peek at the real world, 40h weeks, hand crushing work 60 feet up scaffolding, handing up ¾ inch plywood sheets, covered in oil, while rain, and everything else runs down your neck.
Nope I didn’t like what I saw. Makes me really appreciate what I had though.
Training Yes.
Is 2005 going to be the best season ever, Yes
I am already excited for it.
Right now today, I’m at last season’s Mid-April fitness, minus a little speed. But I’m not worried.
The rest of December I’ll be keeping things under 15h (or right around there)
Jan will be up in the 18 h range
Feb and March I’ll be in warmer places, and will log a few more hours
After that speed lots and lots of intervals.
I know what works, now, (coach) DK also knows what works. I’ll be living in a good environment.
Summary: The missile is armed.
Not like that empty ICBM at km 69 south of Tucson.
Thunder and lightning. Pow-Pow, you’ve been warned
Seriously I just got back from a 5h35 min ride up to Jordan River, which was bitchin’. It rained a little, and was dark at the end (lights on). But I loved it. Things are going well. Nothing like working in the real world for a bit to make you want to train smarter, eat better, and get the job done right.
So Cal – Tucson, and a training Camp in South Carolina before kicking off the season.
I”ll keep you posted. (besides my mom’s been e-mailing me again)
OK take care,
Nat
