ToFiNo BC, Greatest place on Earth
Hey, just a quick note here.
It Victoria is still covered in Snow. I fled to Tofino BC (think of Monterey California, but never having had someone cut all the tree’s down). At present it’s the ONLY place in Canada which isn’t covered in snow. The pass into here is so snowy that I haven’t been able to leave. Though Hiking in the Old Growth of the Pacific Rim National park (southern most rainforest in North America), and walking Hunna (Sam’s POS puppy that I actually I get along with well when it isn’t biting my feet).
Though I didn’t ever think I’d ever been here before M&D pointed out that most of the things I’ve done here, I already accomplished in Womb-Time. Though back then everyone just camped on the beaches.
Also, other than Sam and I, everyone here is Chronic.
The Subie. Yeah well, I had to ride home from the store, because the old girl needs a new starter. That’s my task for Monday. I’ll forgive here because The Subie Rocks, yeah go Subie.
The Laptop. 3 weeks after it’s one-year warranty, it packed it in. I took it into the Dr (not J) and they can’t fix it and HP doesn’t make the parts to fix it anymore. That kinda leaves me in a rough spot, as e-mail, e-bay, photos and accounting are all locked on there. VISA doubles the warranty on electronics, which you buy on it, so I think that I should be able to work something out here. Fingers crossed.
The snow’s letting up for a bit tomorrow, so I’ll be heading back to Vic, and then maybe up into the mountains for a week of skiing. Heck I think it’s still snowing in Cali, so I don’t need to rush there.
Bike riding here isn’t really the greatest as Tofino is at the end of a 160 km dead end road, which even in the off-season is fairly trafficked.
Since I’m planning to represent GB in the 2010 Vancouver Olympics with my Bro for Nordic skiing, I’d better start getting a little bit of snow time in (4 days on snow including a race is my call for this year).
Whenever I get a computer working I’ll have a ton of pictures to post. I think some will generate so many hits that spoke post will crash. He He He.
Injury of the Week
While walking Hunna aka Fartbox-the-dog, on Long Beach I managed to hit myself with a stick hard enough that blood ran into my eye. I cleaned it up with my undershirt, but when I got home, everyone was able to notice the _ inch long bloody contusion on my forehead.

If you waste money you can work extra hard and earn it back. But if you waste your time.
I got a call today from a construction company asking me if I want to start working for them tomorrow.

PS the cell phone is working again. After 4 months and hours on hold Bell found that my phone package does exist and credited my account $400.
As a foot note about Sam, she’s someone who I hated a lot back ‘97-2000. And that’s saying a lot, because I can’t think of anyone else I’ve hated. But sometime somehow we’ve become friends. I still get riled up when I recall the whole entrapment issue which spawned the hate, so as a rule to thumb we just ignore the whole issue.
