Hi there, welcome to the BLOG of my life as a Vagabiker. Beryl calls me a 'Free Spirit' my Grandpa a B.U.M. of no fixed address. Kelly says I'm 'off the wall'. I think that the Toad is closest saying I'm the Cat in the Hat it's fun to have fun—but you have to know how.

These are the stories of my unique, home-and-job-free Natness.

Naturally, quasi-legal events are fictional. Everything else is the unvarnished truth.

excitement with out saying anything

OK I am confirming the Rumors (which I also started) I am 100% committed to doing RAAM.

Kerry Classen will the other person alongside yours truly setting the new 2-Person continuous crossing of the Continent. This year RAAM will run from Oceanside California to Atlantic City New Jersey, covering over 100 000 feet of climbing and 3150 miles. The record that we’re planning on breaking is an average speed (over day, night, rain, mountains, stopping at traffic lights, and stop signs, and nothing else) is 19.5 miles an hour.

It’s my first time being on the organizational side of things, and I’m really grateful for all the bike industry people who have voiced their support of us.

The cycling industry is typically a cloak and dagger type of thing, but I am planning on posting everything up on line here, open book style. So you, sponsors, and who ever else will see where the money has come from and where it’s headed off to. I will only be linking sponsors, once the deals are finalized, but you can trust me when I say we have the very best of the bike industry lined up to support us. I will be riding my dream bike.

Cash Fund Raising
We have our first comitted $1000 sponsor who is nameless at this point (thanks Dr. S)
Also Kurt Hackler has donated a Cannondale Bike, for E-bay. The proceeds of which will be joining the RAAM Pot. This is HUGE, Kurts a great buddy, and bike racer, but I’m flattered that he came forward with this.

We’ve got some big media things in the pipes as well, which I’m also excited about. They’re hard but not yet a done deal. It is BIG though.

When I’m not trying to get all this ironed out, I’m nailing the training rides, and have a months worth of unreal stories I’m trying to get posted up in the regular BLOG section, which I’ll leave below.
