brief oceanside update
So I did it.
I won my age group and am headed to Kona.

I was so nervous that I only slept 3h the night before. Pooped 4 time before the 6:53 start, but didn’t barf at all.
I’ll write a real report soon - hopefully there will be waves for surfing tomorrow.

Good job man. I’m impressed with how quick you got back into shape and were racing at such a high level. You inspire me.

Hey Nat. Many people have dreams but never have the courage to go after them. Congrats on getting the spot to Kona from your 25-29 age group win in Oceanside on the weekend. Its nice for you to be honest about your nervous tension going into the weekend’s race, so that age groupers can see that nervous tension is a part of the game. Its what you do after your 4th trip to the bathroom that matters. Congrats on making Bracebridge, C3 and your many fans proud of your renewed efforts in multi-sport. Only 5 weeks till St Croix and the Beast (half-Ironman) so you don’t have a lot of chilling out time.
