Hi there, welcome to the BLOG of my life as a Vagabiker. Beryl calls me a 'Free Spirit' my Grandpa a B.U.M. of no fixed address. Kelly says I'm 'off the wall'. I think that the Toad is closest saying I'm the Cat in the Hat it's fun to have fun—but you have to know how.

These are the stories of my unique, home-and-job-free Natness.

Naturally, quasi-legal events are fictional. Everything else is the unvarnished truth.

Quick update

So a few quick things before I disappear again.

Getting back to the team training house in the ‘Hammer’ aka Hamilton Ontario, it’s a great training environment, but I was a little overtrained and needed rest. This wasn’t really too surprising, as all this swimming and running was new to my body and Coach Barrie Shepley and I had to find out what kind of work loads I could handle… now we have a better idea.

My partner in Training Sean had an outstanding Milton Triathlon coming back from his own injury and lull to win by over 3 minutes in the Subaru Triathlon series opener. The second race is tomorrow, the Muskoka Triathlon.

It’s in Huntsville, just up the street from my home-town Bracebridge. So I have visited my parents for the past 3 weekends running. Which is some kind of modern record. However just as my legs started to come around allergy season has hit, and I’ve been pretty drippy around the town.

I am excited about doing the Muskoka race, as it’s pretty ‘home town’ the course is only 26km from my driveway, and these are my stomping grounds… we’ll see how it unfolds.

Otherwise I have become a very proud uncle, to Natalie (who may or may be partially named after her favorite uncle). More on this later… but she’s super cute and I’ll leave it at that for now.

From here I will bike tour down to Nashua NH, visiting a few friends in vermont, and NH along the way. Friday/ Saturday there is a wedding, thanks to Gibbers who will drive the suit down while I am biking. Sneakers and goggles have made the cut and I will be swimming in Adirondacks, Green, and White Mountains which I’ll be riding through en route.

OK take care.. photo’s and a real story to follow.
