Parents Adventure update
1st. My parents are off hiking the Camino de Santiago. Which is a super pilgrimage, and while I wish that I was along. To make me more envious, despite their lack of computer affection I’ve received two updates from them. They have flown
Mom’s report #1 April 23:
We are here and about to start from ST Jean Pied de Port in a few minutes. Went some 38 hours from Tues am without sleep. Up at 6:30am Thick fog both in my head and outside. Beautiful mountain vistas from our hostel in the citadel last night. Such history everywhere you look!! Buen Camino!
Mom’s report #1 April 25:
We´ve just completed day 3 and are still able to walk!
We are stopping for the night just outside Pamplona (running of the bulls fame). It was truly a wow day.
Barrie say that the whole thing has exceed our expectations so far. I´m still waiting for him to crash. We have slept rather poorly the last 2 nights–a combination of jet lag and being in a room with many snorers! He´s too wound up to even think about the naps he had envisioned having.
The first two days were amazingly warm and sunny. Today was pleasantly cool and overcast but now it is raining hard and thunder. We´ll see what tomorrow brings.
Have to sign off soon because of the thunder storm. I´m doing my exercises every night and holding up well but ave tape patches on various parts of me.
