Racing Season Re-Cap.

So my 2005 season on a pro team was a blow out. I quantitatively had my best form ever, and have almost nothing to show for it. Montreal Quebec, where I was 3rd team mate on the road, but the front two guys got dropped proved to be a turning point in the season. The best laid plans can go wrong, but when your plan continuously proves to be fatal, and pro teams loose local race after local race, you need some sort of consequence, or try something new… So my team and I parted ways things have been looking up.

Pre Race Jitters

So I’m sitting here the morning before the Nationals Road Race 18laps of 10km with 350 feet of decent climbing every lap. I have 2h until I have to leave for the race (4h to race start) and I’m done everything, eating breakfast 30min too early, and just a quivering ball of nerves. I can’t remember the last time I was this nervous, because normally I race so many times a year 70-90 that when the big races roll around it’s just another event.

The Little Cock-Sparrow does Beauce

So I just got back from the Tour de Beauce (two weeks ago, but I’m just posting up now), which possibly aside from Georgia, is the hardest, and highest ranked UCI race in North America. The race is renowned for fast races, cracked/ potholed roads, long stages, fierce European competition, incessant 2-5km long hills, fierce side winds and cold wet weather. This year did not disappoint in any category.

Bicycle Results

Since I was 8 and have became obsessed with beating the other kids to the end of the swimming pool during lessons. My parents pulled me out of the Red Cross program and signed me up for the swim team. After 3 years the told me I had talent, but not as a swimmer, perhaps I should give a triathlon a go. Sometimes I was OK at bike riding, and sometimes I kept track of results.

-Whitcomb Hill RR. King of the Mountain, YEAH

-Auburn NY Criterium I won the most points, and the results say I won!

-Syracuse NY Criterium Set new course record for fastest Lap!

-Syracuse NY Race Weekend. Overall Champion
